DRAMATIC CLUB PLAY FOR FALL PRODUCTION CHOSEN

"PERVERSENESS OF PAMELA" BY VIRGINIA CHURCH SELECTED BY JUDGES.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The play chosen by the judges for the fall production of the Dramatic Club is "The Perverseness of Pamela," by Virginia Church, who took English 47 last year. It is a farce-comedy of three acts, dealing skilfully and with a light and graceful touch with the military life of the post at Old Point Comfort. The chief figure is the charming but incorrigible Pamela, whose wiles and pranks keep everyone in a continuous state of tension. The lesser figures grouped about her are the officers of the post, and their wives and sweethearts.

The play was very highly commended by the judges of the Craig Prize competition. Miss Church has lived at a military post in Virginia, and knows her subject well. She is now teaching in California.

Competitions Begin.

All candidates for the stage departments from the Freshman and Sophomore classes will report in Peabody Hall, Phillips Brooks House tonight at 7 o'clock. The first reading of the play will also be held in Peabody Hall, at 7.30. Both acting and stage candidates should be present. The first trials for parts will be held in the Trophy Room of the Union tomorrow at 3 o'clock. Each candidate should have a five-minute recitation prepared. Blue-books for candidates to sign for trials will be left at Leavitt & Peirce's until tomorrow noon.

Candidates for the publicity and poster designing competitions will report at Claverly 36 at 6.30 o'clock on Wednesday.
