HERE OR HEREAFTER?

As ever, except in spring, summer, and very early autumn, the Seniors are forced to complain, between chattering teeth, of the frigid atmosphere in their rooms. All day long the temperature is noticeably below the comfort point. And at about 10 P. M. even this meager amount of heat disappears. "Early to bed and early to rise,"--is this the schoolboy formula under which Seniors suffer? Or are the dispensers of warmth following a policy of economy? If so it may be suggested that Seniors will pay rather than freeze. Will those in charge recognize their duty, or is this a matter in which the Student Council must act to express the universal hostility among Seniors to the freeze-out policy?

Progress marches slowly; and some day it may be hoped that dwellers in the Yard will not have to plead for the elementary comfort. Else, most certainly and desirably, they who refuse this demand, will one day enjoy heat in abundance.
