MUSICAL CLUB TRIALS COMMENCE.

Dr. Davison Will Hear Would-be Singers. Instrumentalists Also Called.

Trials for both the University Glee Club and the Instrumental Clubs will take place tonight and tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock. Candidates for the Glee Club will report to Dr. Davison in the Glee Club room of the Music Building at that time, ready to sing a solo, while prospective members of the Mandolin and Banjo Clubs will meet in Randolph 3, prepared to play a selection from memory, if possible. "Funny men" should report for the Glee Club at the same time as the other candidates. Those who have a lecture in Military Science tonight should come out tomorrow evening, and vice versa. Freshmen are especially needed for the Musical Clubs This year, in order to establish a foundation for future years.

At the meeting of the elected members of the Musical Clubs last week, the following elections were made in addition to those of J. K. Berry, Jr., '18, as President and F. Adams '19, as Vice-President: leader of the Glee Club, M. A. Shattuck '19, of Seattle, Washington; leader of the Mandolin Club, F. H. Stephens '18, of Dorchester; leader of the Banjo Club, E. C. Whittemore '19, of Cambridge; secretary of the Glee Club, E. C. Bennett '18, of Somerville; secretary of the Mandolin Club, M. Fechheimer '19, of Cincinnati, Ohio; secretary of the Banjo Club, S. R. Dunham, Jr., '19, of Boston.
