HOCKEY SUPREMACY NOT SETTLED

Draw Battle Between Crew and Ice Men Leaves Championship in Doubt.

Double-headers were all the rage at the Pavilion yesterday, but the evening games came as an anti-climax to the startling hockey that was uncovered when the men that swing the towels between periods for the puck-shufflers battled the stalwart efficiency experts from the Charles in a two-round tussle.

A strong-arm squad of Boston's best brand-new policeman arrived two hours before the game to subdue the eager mob that threatened (according to the advance press notices) to tear down the Pavilion. After being thoroughly searched, both of the spectators that had come to see the great tussle were allowed to enter and claim their seats under a heavy and constant guard.

As neither side was willing to admit defeat after the two frames of gruelling combat, a compromise was effected which gave the crew clerks a 2 to 0 victory in the first round, while the icemen carried off the second session by three casualties to two.
