CAPT. LAKE, JONES, BAKER, AND DUNCAN EXCELLENT MATERIAL.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Practice for this season's golf team will begin immediately after vacation when a 72 hole medal tournament will be played to determine the make-up of the team. Freshmen, although not eligible for the team, will be permitted to take part in the intercollegiate tournament which will be held at the Nassau Country Club, New York, from June 22-26. Ten colleges and universities have entered this tournament: Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgia Tech., Illinois, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Williams, and Yale.

Prospects for this year's University golf team are exceedingly bright. Captain H. S. Lake '20, D. Jones '22, manager, C. W. Baker '22 and E. B. Duncan '22 have returned from last season's team, and with these players as a nucleus a strong six man team can be developed from the new material available.

In addition to the nine matches already scheduled for the team, contests are being arranged with the Woodlawn, Braeburn, and Wollaston Country Clubs. These will be ten men matches. A six man team will play all the colleges except Amherst, which will have a four man team.

The schedule:

May 1.--Amherst at the Worcester Country Club.

May 8.--Williams at the Springfield Country Club.

May 13.--Cornell at the Braeburn Country Club.

May 14.--Columbia at the Nassau Country Club.

May 15.--Princeton at the Englewood Country Club.

May 20.--Dartmouth at the Woodlawn Country Club.

May 22.--Pennsylvania at the Braeburn Country Club.

May 29.--Yale at the Providence Country Club.

June 22-26--Intercollegiates at the Nassau Country Club, New York.
