BRADLEE A VICTOR IN SQUASH

Defeats R. E. Smith '22 With Ease in Championship Match

Malcolm Bradlee '22 won the Harvard Racquets Club Tournament yesterday at the University Squash Courts by defeating R. E. Smith '22 his semi-finals opponent, by a score of 16-14, 15-8 and 15-1. Smith was by no means in his best form, and after the first game showed little sign of the skill which he had displayed in the preliminary rounds.

Bradlee played easily and with caution during the first game, when his opponent held him to a 13-13 tie, and he had to use his greatest skill finally to take the game by the score of 16-14. However, Smith at the beginning of the second game broke his racquet, and the incident seemed to rob him also of his morale, for he rapidly went to pieces, and although he tried several racquets after this, he seemed unable to stage any sort of come-back. The last two games went with hardly a struggle. Bradlee, who won last fall's tournament also, wins by his victory over Smith the trophy cup which the club offers each year.

In the Freshman interdormitory tournament, the elimination matches are still in progress, and the final games will not be played off until after Examinations.
