HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Society of Harvard Dames is an organization made up of wives, mothers and sisters of Harvard students who are temporary residents of Cambridge or vicinity. Any such representative of a student who has lived in Cambridge not more than one year before his enrollment and who lives within a radius of eight miles of Harvard Square is eligible. A student may have but one representative.
Meetings are held at 3 P.M. at Phillips Brooks House on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month during the school year and the programs are followed by tea. The annual membership fee is one dollar. The first meeting of the year will be held Thursday, October 9.
