ENTIRE CRIMSON SQUAD WILL BE READY FOR SCRIMMAGE ON MONDAY

TEAM B OPPOSES SECONDS IN LONG SCRIMMAGE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A feeling of determination mingled with optimism was prevalent at Soldiers Field yesterday in spite of Saturday's defeat when it became known that the entire University squad will be fit for scrimmage again by next Monday. Buell and Spalding, who both received the same left injury, will be back in uniform, it is hoped, by Friday of this week and Dunker will be ready again by the first of next week at the latest.

With "Beat Yale" the slogan for this week and next, Coach Fisher will spend the remaining nine days of practice before the game in the Bowl perfecting the teamwork of the Crimson eleven in an effort to instill a continuous offensive drive and defensive line charge which was glaringly absent on Saturday. The University coaches are confident that the defeat by Princeton was of immense value in the experience it afforded the Crimson players and in the determined spirit which it created as the Yale game draws near.

Coach Fisher will take no unnecessary risks with his first-string men against the heavy and experienced Brown team in the Stadium this week-end. Although at least part of team A will journey to New Haven to see the Tiger-Eli clash, Coach Fisher is still undecided which men will make the trip and which will face Brown.

Team B Tries Offence on Seconds

Yesterday team A was given a complete rest but team B was sent against Coach Knox's eleven in an exhaustive, offensive scrimmage. The opening Crimson line-up had little trouble scoring against the scrubs, but when team C was substituted, the advance decreased in power and length.

Team B lined up with Hill and Hartley ends. Greenough and Hobson tackles, Miller and Kunhardt guards. Bradford center, Lee quarterback, Churchill, Hammond, and Coburn backs, plunged for one yard, Lee passed to

The ball was placed on team B's 25-yard line and on the first play a pass

Lee to Hartley netted 15 yards, Short gains by Hammond and Churchill followed and a second pass Lee to Hartley gained 25 yards. Churchill reeled off five around left end and Hammond scored from the 12-yard line through center. No attempt at goal was made.

The ball was taken back to team B's 20-yard line and after Churchill had Hartley, who was not stopped until he reached the 42-yard line. Hammond gained eight, Churchill followed with there, but on the next play Stevens of the scrubs intercepted a pass from Lee.

Fitts Scores Through Tackle

Team B, however, was given the ball at midfield and Fitts went in for Hammond. Akers for Lee, Post for Greenough. Towers for Kunhardt, and R. S. Hubbard for Hobson. Churchill gained three yards and Fitts circled right end for first down. The latter then lost two and Crosby was sent in for Hill. Churchill gained 15 yards and then Plaffman, who took his place, added three more. Codman went in for Bradford. Fitts went through tackle and over the goal from the two-yard line.

The ball was taken out 35 yards and again given to the red-jerseyed eleven, McGillen went in for Hartley and Fitts first gained three yards and then lost one. Plaffman went through center for 11 yards but Fitts fumbled on the next play, losing eight but recovered the ball himself. Pfaffman then gained three and a pass to Akers by Crosby netted 15 yards as the practice ended
