GOLF ASSOCIATION TO LAUNCH STUDENT DRIVE

Will Start a Campaign Among Undergraduates to Raise Funds for Course--Results Expected to Have Important Effect on Alumni

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard Golf Association will launch a campaign among the student body for funds for the University golf course for which it is working. This is being planned as the second stop to follow up the exhibition match which was played on October 24.

The Association is managing the drive not as much to collect funds as to get a statement of student opinion and approval of the undertaking. The aim therefore is not a few large subscriptions but a great many small ones.

To Hold Alumni Drive

This campaign will be followed by a nation-wide drive among Harvard graduates who are interested in golf. It is hoped to get a large percentage contribution from the student body in order that the alumni may be told that the plan has the strong endorsement of the entire undergraduate body.

In the semi-finals of the University golf tournament Clark Bodder '25 defeated C. L. Deirson '25, 2 up. R. T. Jones '23 and R. S. Phillips '24 have not yet played.
