TEAM B BLOCKS PUNT AND MAKES ONLY SCORE

LONGER SESSION TODAY WILL MARK LAST PRACTICE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the first football scrimmage of the season, team B outclassed team A, winning the half-hour practice game by one touchdown to nothing. The single score came as a result of a blocked kick on team A's five yard line. C. F. Vietor '26, who recovered this and one other fumble during the course of the afternoon, played brilliantly for team B. G. D. Braden '25, also of team B, made several long runs. Once he was free for a touchdown, but the referee claimed that one foot had been offside, and the ball was brought back. J. L. Donovan, who played in the line on the 1924 Freshman team beside H. S. Grew Jr. and Captain R. S. Hubbard Jr., and who has been unable to go out since then put up a strong game at guard for team A. Team A's backfield was weak, but N. S. Howe, Captain of the 1926 team, was the most consistant ground-gainer.

The scrimage was preceded by a 45-minute signal drill, in which several new lateral passes were tried.
