CALLS LONDON POPULACE MOST TRULY EDUCATED IN THE WORLD

But Arshag Fetvadjian Places Boston a Close Second

"The people of London are the most truly educated and broad minded people in the world. In that respect Boston is more like London than New York or any other American city," is the opinion of Mr. Arsbag Fetvadjian, who visited the University recently.

"The older buildings which follow the English style are very beautiful: a great deal more so than the newer ones," Mr. Fetvadjian told a CRIMSON reporter when he was asked about the much discussed Yard architecture.

Mr. Fetvadjian, who recently gave an illustrated lecture at the Fogg Museum on early Armenian influence in modern European art, is a native of Turkey. He had the distinction of being the first to graduate from the Constantinople Art School with a scholarship from the Turkish government.

Later, he studied at Rome, with a scholarship from the Italian government, and spent a number of years in Vienna and Petrograd. Mr. Fetvadjian since 1900 has spent much time in the Southern Caucasus, making historical etchings and paintings.
