MOORE CALLS COLLEGE BALL LEAGUE "SOMEBODY'S DREAM"

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"It's somebody's dream!" said Major F. W. Moore '93 when a CRIMSON reporter asked him about the proposed intercollegiate baseball league with Harvard one of its members, "As far as Harvard is concerned, there is nothing in it.

"Yale may be in favor of such a proposition," continued Major Moore, "but I am sure the Harvard Athletic Committee is unalterably opposed to it. In the first place, it would make necessary more and longer trips than Harvard teams have been allowed to take. It would make baseball far more expensive than we can afford. Last and most important, it would take control of our own athletics out of our hands. The Athletic Committee has been designated by the Corporation to control Harvard athletics. They should be allowed to do so without outside interference."
