After a week of strenuous practice in preparation for their final game with the Yale Freshmen the 1927 quintet will leave for New Haven this afternoon at 1 o'clock. Their game will be played as a preliminary to the University-Yale clash and will begin at 7.15 tonight.
In spite of a disastrous season, a strong spirit of optimism pervades the squad. They are in good shape physically and will be able to present their strongest line-up when the whistle blows for the game to begin tonight.
Comparative scores seem to give a slight advantage to the Eli yearlings, but Coach Chase believes the big floor at New Haven will be a big aid to his men, pointing to their achievement of holding Exeter to a low score although Leekley was not playing. There is some doubt whether Eaton or Kby will start at forward and it is not likely the final decision will be made until the game be gins.
