The Summer School Catalog of the University of California contains the names of five prominent members of the University faculty who are to give courses in Berkeley this summer. Professor G. P. Baker '87, E. G. Boring, G. D. Brikhoff '05, E. K. Rand '94, and A. N. Holcombe '06 are the men.
Professor Boring, besides an introductory course in psychology, will give a course on the History of Experimental Psychology. This is an innovation in this subject, for according to Professor Boring such a course has never been given before. Experimentation in psychology began in 1860, and Professor Boring's course will deal primarily with the work accomplished since that time. "Psychology claims to be a science," said Professor Boring to a CRIMSON reporter, "yet there is a general lack of Knowledge about the possibilities of experimentation.
Professor Baker will give a course similar to the 47 Workshop with a one act play requisite for membership.
