JOE PLEASES HIS MOTHER AND JUSTIFIES HIS FAME

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The happiest woman in Shemokin on Saturday night was Mrs. Forecast, mother of Joe Forecast '26, official football forecaster of the CRIMSON. As the last football returns drifted by radio into her sitting-room and told of her son's sensational comeback, she whispered through the tears of joy that ran down her cheeks, "I knew he'd do it. I knew he'd do it."

Meanwhile Joe Forecast spent the evening quietly in Cambridge. When interviewed by a CRIMSON reporter, he was found throwing vaudeville and moving picture contracts into the fire. "Success has never turned my head", he said, "and I intend to stick by the CRIMSON".

Joe was justly proud of his work on Saturday, however, and considered that it was a distinct credit to his prognosticating record. He analyzed with absolute accuracy the scoring power of Brown, Chicago, Boston College and Williams, and although he was forced to bear up under ridicule on Saturday for his guess on the Colgate-Princeton game, he considers that his error of only one point in the final score was a veritable achievement.
