35 SCHOOLS TO ENTER INTERSCHOLASTIC MEET

ANDOVER AND EXETER LOOM AS STRONGEST CONTENDERS

The fortieth annual Harvard interscholastic Track Meet at Soldiers Field on Saturday promises to be an anniversary event that will shatter all previous records. Nearly 350 entries had been received from 35 preparatory and high schools from all over New England when the entries closed last night, it was announced by C. F. Dunbar '25, and F. T. Gibson '26, the managers in charge of the meet.

Andover tops the list of contesting schools, with 48 entries, while its traditional rival, Exeter, is entering 39 men. Other schools that loom large as interscholastic contenders are Worcester Academy, with 23 entries, Medford High School, with 22, and LaSalle Academy, from Providence, which is bringing a squad of 15 men to the meet.

Headquarters At Varsity Club

The University management is exerting itself to make the week-end a notable one for the visitors. Headquarters for the visiting teams will be established at the Varsity Club. On Friday evening, supper will be served for the out of town teams in Smith Halls Common Room. On Saturday, breakfast and lunch will be served, and at 1.45 the schedule of events will start in the Stadium. The last event will be run off by 3.35, following which the school boys will be given tickets for the Princeton meet, which will start immediately after the Interscholastic meet is finished.
