A swimming meet open to the entire University including both graduate and undergraduate schools will be held at the Big Tree Swimming pool on May 25.
The meet will be featured by six separate events including fancy diving, 50-yard free style, 200-yard free style, 100-yard back stroke, 100-yard relay, and a beginners race. The beginners race is open only to students who have learned to swim this year.
Any men wishing to enter any of these events may sign up for them at the desk in the Big Tree Swimming Pool Building any time before the meet. Mr. D. J. Kelly and Mr. Robert Muir who are conducting the contest will probably be the judges.
Mr. Muir, who is the swimming instructor at the Big Tree Pool, is giving American Red Cross Life Saving test on Mondays and Fridays every week between 4 and 5 o'clock. He strongly urges that any men who plan to be councillors at some camp or who will be taking care of children at the shore this summer should try this test. Many camp directors require their councillors to have this Life Saving Emblem.
