Playing in a stinging cold wind on rough ice in Southboro last Saturday, the freshman hockey team defeated a strong St. Mark's sextet by a 1-0 score. The only score made was netted by P. A. Watts '31.

Both teams were equally matched, holding each other to a 0-0 score through two thirds of the game. Ten minutes after referee. Noonan had dropped the puck on the ice for the third period, the Harvard team began to show a concentrated attack on the schoolboy cage. In a spurt of team work, R. S. Ogden '31 flashed the puck to Watts, who lashed the dise into the net.

S. L. Batchelder '31 made several flashy runs down the ice, but the rough surface made it hard to control the puck.

On the St. Mark's team Potter Palmer, defense player, exhibited a very effective poke check. The schoolboy offense was weak; after the first period the three forwards rarely came within striking distance of the Harvard goal.

The summary follows: HARVARD 1931  ST. MARK'S Jewell, Forthingham, r. w. l. w., Choate, Bailey, Peck, Covel Putnam, Everett,e. c., Palmer, Adams Watts, Baldwin, l. w. r. w., Barber, Adams Batchelder, r. d. I. d., Barton Ogdon, I. d. r. d., P. Palmer Gammack, g. g., Jenkins
