22 RUNNERS PICKED FOR SOUTHERN MEET

Harvard, Maryland, and William and Mary to Take Part--Open Places to Be Filled This Week

A squad of 22 men who will make the spring trip to Williamsburg, Virginia, to face William and Mary and the University of Maryland in a triangular track meet, was announced last night by Coach E. L. Farrell. The team which leaves Sunday for the South will be composed of these 22 men and several others who have not yet been named.

The members of the team who will make the trip are as follows: T. H. Alcock '29, P. S. Brown '30, B. G. Burbank '28, F. T. Burgess '30, F. E. Cummings '30, G. B. Elsass '30, Leslie Flaksman '29, A. E. French '29, David Guarnaccia '29, V. L. Hennessy '30, W. S. Heinrich '30, D. A. Lomasney '28, R. G. Luttman '29, T. F. Mason '30, T. G. Moore '29, A. H. O'Neil '28, W. C. Peet '28, R. P. Porter '29, C. A. Pratt '28, J. L. Reid '29, G. A. Tupper '29, J. O. Wildes '29. There are several open places to be filled from a large group of aspirants.

The team leaves on Sunday and will arrive at Williamsburg on Monday. Coach Farrell will put his charges through stiff workouts twice a day for the whole week to condition the squad for the spring season. On Saturday the triangular meet among William and Mary, the University of Maryland, and Harvard will take place.

There are several spikemen who are expected to show up to good advantage during the spring trip. Alcock, who has been doing well in the hammer throw this winter, will accompany the team, although there will be no hammer event in the meet.
