GOLF SEASON OPENS WITH INITIAL MEETING TONIGHT

Regular Practice Will Not Start Until After Recess--Freshmen to Have First Organized Team

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

All candidates for University and Freshman golf will gather at 7 o'clock tonight in 2 Straus Hall, to initiate the 1928 season. No organized practice will be held, however, until after the spring recess. Practice will be held in Waverly again this year, it has been decided: Workouts will be taken on the course of the Belmont Spring Country Club.

Three positions in the University team are left open by the graduation of Dwight Barnum '27, E. D. Cole '37, and Captain E. S. Stimpson '27. The University squad will be made up of ten men, while the Freshman group will consist of eight players.

This year, for the first time in several years, there will be an organized Freshman outfit. The schedule of the first-year men for this reason will be less extensive than that of the University players, but it will include matches with Dartmouth 1931 and, with Yale 1931. The latter match will be at Providence on May 30.
