W. J. Bingham '16, director of Athletics was early this week elected president of the Eastern Association of Football Coaches and Athletic Directors by unanimous vote of the members of the organization. He succeeds W. W. Roper coach of the Princeton football team.
Carrying out the idea expressed in Bingham's speech of acceptance the meeting granted an increase of powers to W. R. Okeson of Lehigh its "commissioner of officials," which permits him to make irrevocable appointments from the list of approved officials. Formerly these appointments were subject to the approval of the colleges involved.
