P>That Boccanccio's famous Decameron has been recently banned from the shelves of the Harvard Cooperative Society was learned definitely yesterday.

An officer of the Coop admitted that the book department had offered of the sale earlier in the year copies of the Decaneron published in the Modern Library Series, but had recently withdrawn all copies from their Shelves. He stated that it was against the law to sell the book, and that the Coop had displayed copies only through an error.

J. S. Phillips of the Phillips Book Store stated that to his knowledge there was no official ban Grolier Book, while G. C. Cairnie of the Grolier Book Shop admitted that he carried the book in stock, and believed that it was perfectly legal to do so.
