ELIS, KEPT IDLE BY RAIN, WORK OUT IN DUMMY SCRIMMAGE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

New Haven, November 17--Because of a slight rain, the Yale football squad was kept from a scrimmage yesterday afternoon, and practically the full two hours of work was spent in improving the defense against the forward pass and in perfecting an aerial attack.

Captain Booth, after practicing with the first team, went over to the second team and ran through a dummy scrimmage. In the second team backfield, with Booth, were Sullivan at quarter-back, Taylor at right Halfback, and Ingram at fullback.

The probable starting line which will face Harvard Saturday worked with several backs who will probably see action. After Booth retired, the team lined up as follows: Flygare, Madden, l.e.; Wilbur, l.t; Nichols, l.g; Doonan, Betner, c.; Rotan, r.g.; Hall, r.t.; Barres, r.e.; Parker, q.b.; Lassiter, l.h.b.; Crowley, r.h.b.; Hughes, Leavering, Muhlfeld, f.b.
