HARVARD FLYING CLUB OPENS MEMBERSHIP COMPETITION

Candidates to Meet in Sever 6 at 7.30 O'Clock Tonight

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With the putting into service of its new training plane, the Harvard Flying Club is opening its second competition for membership in a meeting to be held in Sever 6 at 7.30 o'clock tonight. All undergraduates interested in learning to fly may enter the three weeks competition, which is held to select those who would make satisfactory members of the club.

No knowledge of airplanes is required, but all candidates must intend to fly. The competition will consist of three trips to the East Boston Airport to hear lectures by aviation men, and the winners will be picked on a basis of interest and general fitness. After initiation the members will then spend about three months getting their pilot's license, which can be secured at half the usual cost through the Club. After this they will be eligible to use the Club's cabin plane for cross-country hope.
