CUNNINGHAM TO TAKE PART IN NATIONAL COMMITTEE WORK

Will Serve as Technician in Highway And Railroad Adjustments

W. J. Cunningham, James J. Hill professor of Transportation, has been named as the executive secretary of the Joint Committee of Railroads and Highway Users. This committee has for its purpose the adjustment of differences between railroad and highway traffic throughout the country.

Professor Cunningham was chosen by representatives of the railroads and highway users as a well known economist with technical experience, both in the problems of railroads and in the problems of the operators of automotive equipment. His work will be to correlate the data gathered by members of the committee and to do independent research.

The members of the Joint Committee expect to make a careful examination of all the data which are placed before them, and in the end submit their findings to the organizations they represent. The results will be given to the National Transportation Committee.
