QUINTET FACES STRONG FOE IN WILLIAMS TEAM

Expecting plenty of stiff opposition, the University basketball team will meet Williams in the New Indoor Athletic Building tonight at 8 o'clock. The "David" of New England college basketball teams is coming to Cambridge tonight for the first time in several years.

Coach Caldwell of Williams has had a successful season thus far with a record of 11 victories and three defeats. One of the surprises of the year was the Purple's victory over Columbia in an overtime game played two months ago. Only one hoopster was lost from last year's team so this year's squad is composed of veteran players, two of whom were selected for the All-New England college team last season. Captain C. Good and W. Sheehan are expected to give the Crimson hoopsters much to worry about. The Purple ran out a string of eight consecutive victories this year and captured the "Little Three" crown.

The Crimson five has not been playing up to past standards this season and has experienced many defeats. The team showed recent signs of a change in form, however, until last week when they suffered a relapse at the hands of a quintet from Pittsburgh. Possible changes in the lineup are being contemplated and if effected may alter the situation in the contest tonight. Matursevitch injured his knee in practice and it is doubtful whether he will be available.
