With all the facilities of the New Indoor Athletic Building available, the Freshman winter sports program will open today.

Freshman basketball, under the direction of Adolf W. Samborski '25, will meet at 2 and 3 o'clock on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Until Friday, December 1, all candidates will report at the Athletic Building, but after that date, only the men retained on the Freshman squad will play there. Others will work out in the intramural groups at the Hemenway gymnasium.

For the present, boxing and wrestling will meet at 3 and 3.30 o'clock, respectively; however, after the football season is over, these exercise rooms will be open all afternoon. Practice for Freshmen fencers will be held from 2 to 4 o'clock every afternoon. Candidates for the swimming team will report at 3 o'clock, and advanced swimmers may attend classes at 2 and 2.30 o'clock.

Approximately 210 men will be required to attend the special exercise classes held three times a week, but these classes are also open to anybody who may wish to sign up. They are given for a six week's period by Norman W. Fradd, and include exercises to improve the posture and to strengthen the back.

Starting today, also, as many squash courts as the Freshmen may wish to use will be reserved on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There will be no Freshman squash on the other days. Handball can be played at Hemenway, and fall rowing will start about the end of November. Track will continue throughout the year.

On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 5 o'clock, in the Athletic Building, and on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12 o'clock, at Hemenway, classes are being conducted for the faculty. The program includes conditioning exercises, use of the medicine ball, and volley ball contests.
