Louis Untermeyer, noted critic and poet, will speak tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock in Phillips Brooks House on the subject "Modern Poets and Modern Poetry." This lecture, to which the public is invited, is given under the auspices of the Cambridge Poetry Forum.

Untermeyer, who is known as one of the leading critics of poetry in the country, is a contributor to the "Saturday Review of Literature." He is known chiefly for his collection of poetry entitled "Modern American and British Poetry." One of his latest books is "The Last Pirate," consisting of stories from the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Mussolini recently awarded him a cash prize for a children's book picturing Italian life. Tomorrow is the only time at which Untermeyer will speak in the vicinity of Boston this year.

The Cambridge Poetry Forum holds meetings every two weeks. Previous speakers this year have been David McCord. Walter Brown, and Merrill Moore. On November 27 Florence Couverse, author of the poem "Efficiency Expert," will address the Forum at Phillips Brooks House.
