Diversion Offered by Three Foot Six Coon Fullback for 1950--Band Plays in Preparation for Brown

Three hundred or more undergraduates turned up yesterday for the first open football practice on Soldiers Field as Coach Harlow ran his team through a typical pre-game workout.

Chief event of the day was the appearance towards the end of the afternoon, of papa coon, mama, and sonny (height 3 feet 6 1/2 inches. The latter was dubbed Harvard's star fullback for 1950.

Harvard's band, a century or more strong, appeared towards dusk to try out their rhythmic notes in preparation for a mid-period tussle today with the Brown syncopates. As the climactic event of the program came the feline ramblings of a coffee-colored alley-snifter who communed with Wes Fesler's 70-yard punts and finally succumbed to the enticement of Frank Ryan's puss-calls.
