Docking in New York at 7:30 o'clock this morning the steamer Queen Mary brings President Conant back to America after a month's holiday in England. He had sailed during the week after the Tercentenary on September 24.

The President is expected to return immediately to Cambridge where he will vote tomorrow. A registered Republican, he will probably vote a State G.O.P. ticket but has not indicated his national preference.

He will then go into hiding and attend to personal business until Thursday evening when the Freshman Class is scheduled to see their head for the first time at an address in the Union.

Leaving before registration President Conant had voiced the desire to great 1940 as soon as possible on his homecoming. His speech will come at 7:30 o'clock in the Large dining ball.
