FRESHMAN NINE DOWNS B.U. YEARLING TEAM 7-5

Edinburg Gains First Win; Curtiss Does Relief Work With Bases Full in Ninth Inning

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Called to the mound in the ninth inning with the sacks loaded with the tieing and winning runs and one out, Slim Curtiss struck out the first man to face him and forced the next one to ground out to Capt. Art Johns, who made a nice play to get the final out at first and enable the Freshman nine to defeat B. U. Freshmen 7-5 yesterday on Soldiers Field.

Lefty Edinburg in gaining his first win of the season pitched nice ball until a streak of wildness forced him to retire in the ninth.
