GEORGIAN STRIKERS EVICTED FROM SQUARE HEADQUARTERS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Only now development in the two day old Georgian strike yesterday was the eviction of the strikers from their temporary headquarters in the district office of the American Student Union in the Abbott Building on Harvard Square when the owner threatened not to renew the lease.

"There's been too much noise," was the ultimatum.

The Student Union last night passed a resolution supporting the workers, and formed a large strike committee to provide food and new headquarters for the Georgian employees. Student backing will be sought for a boycott of all Georgian cafeterias.

Verne H. Philbrook, president of the Georgian chain, declined to say yesterday if and when he would open the picketed cafeteria.
