Eric Cutler '40, captain-elect of the Harvard swimming team, received honorable mention as a distance swimmer on the All-America team recently by the Amateur Athletic Union.

The Crimson leader was rated the third best tankman in the land for any distance from 440 yards to one mile. He trailed Carlos Rivas of Honolulu and Harold "Curly" Stanhope of Ohio State University in the selections.

Charley Hutter, Bill Kendall, and Jim Curwen of Harvard were all honored by being placed on the list last year. Hutter and Kendall of course have now concluded their competitive careers. Dick Hough of Princeton, breast-stroke artist, and Yale's Freshman free-style star, Howie Johnson, were both awarded places on this year's first All-America team.
