The Varsity soccer team will attempt to break the undefeated record of the Springfield booters this afternoon when the two teams meet on the Business School field in a game starting at 12 o'clock.

The Crimson eleven, encouraged by the return to form of Captain Howie Mendel, will be in excellent shape. Although beaten in Saturday's game with Princeton by a 2 to 0 score, the team was not disheartened in the least.

The same team will start against Springfield which started last week, with Penson at goal, Ives and Doughty at fullback, Rousmaniere, Edgar, and d'Autremont in the halfback line, and Page, Staber, Murphy, Willetts, and Mendel in the forward line.

A victory over Harvard will leave Springfield in virtual possession of the New England league championship, as Yale, the other undefeated team, was beaten by Wesleyan Tuesday as well as being tied by Amherst last week. Springfield plays no more tough games.
