Ten Boats Swarm Charles in Last Fall Meet; Anderson And Gray Close Behind

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Ten shells, the largest number of boats Tom Bolles has ever seen racing together, swept down the Charles under clear skies yesterday in a gala crew regatta, the last event in this fall's formal outdoor rowing season.

Comstock's light, fast crew won the race, closely followed over the finish line by the eights of Anderson and Gray, which came in second and third, respectively.

Wagner and Wilson came in half a length behind Anderson. Next in order of finishing came Bailey, Lincoln, Hemans, Redmond, and Farley. Bailey's boat, which came in sixth, was the first 150-lb. crew to finish the race.

Although no times were taken, the race was swiftly run off as there was a favorable wind. Bolles was quite pleased that the coxswains were so efficient in avoiding accidents
