Devoted entirely to the American poet Wallace Stevens, the latest issue of The Advocate contains several of the poet's latest works as well as several poems written around 1900. The rest of the magazine is devoted to criticism of his work.

Critical articles in the magazine are by Associate Professor Theodore Spenser, Hi Simons, John Finch, Morton D. Zabel, Howard Baker, and Delmore Schwartz.
