A policy of all-aid to the nations opposing Hitler was passed unanimously last night at the first meeting of the Harvard Student Union. Completely reversing its stand of last June, the Union's membership lined up behind its executive committee in declaring that "the goal of all persons wishing to preserve democracy . . . must be the military defeat of Hitler." Plans were made to implement this resolution by work with the USO and and the ROTC, forums, a Dramatic Committee, and committee to approach other groups like the Liberal Union on the question of cooperation.

The meeting also resolved to back the demand of the CIO unioned shipworker at the Bethleham Steel Company's shipyards in Fall River.
