JAYVEES MEET BROWN TODAY

Lamer Returns to Coach Team Against Strong Brown

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Returning to his duties as Jayvee coach after having been home sick all week, Henry Lamer takes back the reins just in time to steer his boys against an undefeated Brown eleven at 3 o'clock this afternoon on Soldiers Field.

Captain Jack Farley, although he has been working out with the Varsity squad during the week, will be on hand to lead his mates from his left end post. Freshman Dick Withington will again be his running mate. Corny Atkins and Bruce smart are the second pair of flankmen.

Kahn, Beeman Start

At the tackle posts, Mike Kahn has held his grip on one of the jobs, but Lyman Beeman has forged ahead to take over the other. Art Bauman, Mac McNamara, and Ed Nabham are ready to fill any gaps.

Bob Drennan and George Terrien are the first-string guards, with Kovanda and George in reserve. Soup Gardner will be the pivot man.

In the backfield, Larry Broderick at blocking back is the only fixture. He will be relieved by Dick McCarthy, and tackle Bauman may also play here. Bump Budley is the likely starter at tall back, although George O'Day may beat him out for the honor.

Charley Tarbell and Paul Garrity are just about even as fullbacks, and Lamer still hasn't decided which of them will open. Paul Lazzaro is slated to begin at wingback, but Dick Warren and Ed Cole will alle see action.
