All Except 388 Women Go--But No One Knows Why

Behind the terse announcement from Wadsworth House Saturday that of 964 First Sessioners, only 388 girls will grace the second summer term lie meaningful undercurrents that may never be fully revealed.

One opinion whispers that the stringent 8:30 o'clock curfew imposed upon the Navy men in the Yard caused the damsels to while away all their time on cold, stone steps, and eventually to begin their disillusioned trek homeward.

Other informants ascribe the migration to frustration from beholding an unending line of unpressed seersucker jackets on round-shouldered Crimson undergraduates.
