Boylston Hall Closes Reading Room Today

Library's Shutdown Forced By Expense and Lack of Use

The steaming, grind-haunted reading room of Boylston, which has handed out books for years to History and Government students, will close for the second session, causing the industrious to seek elsewhere in their thirst for knowledge and A's.

The closing of the reading room, though startling to some, would be the accepted thing for a regular resident of the Summer School, for in ordinary and in less warlike summer sessions the reading room has been closed for the entire time.

Those books which are usually on reserve in Boylston for special courses are being moved to Widener, where they may now be obtained. The change has been brought about because the large overhead required to keep the reading room open was not warranted by the small second session attendance.
