Best suited among Harvard students for jungle warfare is Barton L. Corkum of the V-12 unit, who ran away with last week's Gualalcanal Track Meet, scoring only 17 points to beat his nearest rivals by 11 points.

Following Corkum in the five event meet, which included timing, non-competitive events, the 100 yard dash, an obstacle course, rope climb, and ladder descent, and one competitive event--the 3.7 mile run, were Dick Bryan, Fred Peirce, and Ed Squibb, each with 23 points. Third was B. L. Daley with 32, and fourth Bob Hart, with 39.

Winner of the cross-country event was Joseph R. Crowley, who ran the 3.7 miles in 19 minutes, 25 seconds, while second was Duncan C. Blanchard, who finished in 19:28.
