Eliot's sea-Elephant captured the first half of the Inter-House basketball competition with a spotless record of four victories and no defeats. They also copped the laurels in the scoring department with their two stars. Henry Hibbard and George Boston finishing up one, two in that department.

Their last two games were against Adams and Kirkland which they won by the respective scores of 35 to 24 and 74 to 29, Dunster's Funsters whipped Lowell 17 to 12 and lot a close one to Adams 31 to 23 to round out the schedule.

If the marine ungulates go on to capture the second round championship, the tournament will close. If, however, they are upset in the second round, a two out of three game play-off will be necessitated.

Adams, House, their closest competitor, got off to a poor start in the second round yesterday, dropping a heartbreaker to Lowell to the tune of 21 to 17.
