University American Veterans Committee members will elect ten delegates tonight to attend the AVC State Convention in Springfield, November 14, 15 and 16. Nominations were made two weeks ago.
Meeting in Emerson D at 7:30 o'clock, the chapter will also choose a new recording secretary to replace Selig S. Harrison '48, who retired three weeks ago because of other extra-curricular activities.
Largest Chapter
It is expected that the University's chapter will be the largest at the Spring-field convention, which will hear speeches by Governor Robert F. Bradford '20, Rabbi Joshua Loth Liebman "Peace of Mind," and George Kennan, State Department expert on Soviet affairs.
Kennan is allegedly the "Mr. X," whose article, originally appearing in Foreign Affairs, revealed present U.S. policy toward Russia.
