'50 Squashmen Subdue M.I.T. and Maugus 3-2: Set for Tilt with Yale

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two close decisions marked yesterday's Freshman squash matches as the top '50 quintet, known as the "C" team, downed M.I.T.'s slide-rule swingers 3 to 2, while the "C" squad nosed out the Maugus Club by a like margin.

In winding up its seasonal activities, the "D" team still has a mathematical chance to cop top honors in its league. Meanwhile the racqueteers are priming to send nine men against Yale on February 22, an innovation replacing the normal five man encounters.

Monday, both Varsity and Yardling squashmen will transfer operations to the recently renovated courts in Hemenway Gymnasium.

The Varsity summary: McDonald (T) defeated Foster, 3-1; Emerson, (R) defeated Warner, 3-0; Pallet (R) defeated Kelly, 3-2 Mead (R) detested Knutzen 3-2, Swan (T) defeated Weave 3-2.
