In Kirkland's Bryan Hall lights burned brightly as eager crammers poured over their weighty tomes in preparation over their weighty tomes in preparation for impending hour exams. Only the gentle tap of typewriters, and the soft strains of Network melodies, mingled with the soft love calls of mermaids wafted from the mysterious river, pricked the all-pervasive silence.
