Associate Professor Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. '38 will speak against Referenda 5, 6, and 7 at an ADA rally tomorrow at 8 p.m. in Symphony Hall.
The rally, which is slated to support the Truman-Barkley ticket, includes as speakers Senator Brian McMahon (D., Conn.), Mrs. Borden Harriman, former minister to Norway, and Bartley Crum, editor of the New York Star.
Proposed Measures
Massachusetts voters will determine the fate of the so-called 'anti-labor' measures on the ballot next November 2. The referenda call for abolition of the union and maintenance-of-membership shops, annual election of union officials, and new regulations for strike-voting.
Also on the program are J. Arthur Moriarty, J. William Belanger, and Philip Kramer, who represent labor groups. Reginald H. Zalles will preside.
Admission is free and entertainment will be provided.
