Poloists Play Williams

Harvard polo moves to New York tomorrow night when the Crimson indoor squad takes on a Williams band in the Squadron A armory at 94th at and Madison ave. in the big city. The trios will face off at 8;30 p.m. A metropolitan league game between a pair of New York "name" teams is also on the bill.

Although the Crimson whipped Williams decisively 6 to 1, in an outdoor match under indoor rules back in October, both sides look for a closer game tomorrow night. The first Ephmen-Crimson match opened the season for Williams, and with a full month's practice behind them, the Berkshire squad may upset the favored Harvard team.

Foreign Training

The Crimson boasts two veteran polo enthusiasts in Co-Captains Sandy Calhoun and Emil van Peborgh, who start at number two forward and defense. Calhoun learned his polo in the Philippine Islands before the war and more recently on last year's team, while Van Peborgh practiced on the Pampas down in his native Argentine.

The third member of the starting lineup, "Dusty" Howland, is also a veteran of last year's shortened season.

A five man squad will make the trip to New York. Along with starters Calhoun, Van Peborgh, and Howland reserves Tim White and Stew Bennett will be on hand in case of injuries or merely to spell the first three.

The polo team has arranged a full schedule through the winter culminating in a contest against Miami University which will be played in the picturesque Orange Bowl at Miami. There will be no games in the Boston area due to lack of local facilities.
