John Farwell Moors '83 will be the guest of honor at a ceremony marking the formal opening of Mary Buckminister Moors Hall at 4 p.m. tomorrow at the new Radcliffe dormitory.
About 375 persons, including the 104 residents of the Hall, are expected to attend the ceremony. The program will include speeches by Radcliffe President Wilbur K. Jordan, by house president Janet Stewart '50, and by Moors, who will dedicate the dormitory he built in honor of his mother. Radcliffe's Choral Society will sing opening and closing carol selections.
It took two years to build the dormitory, and its final opening was delayed by a fire which burned out the first floor on September 16. However, the three top floors were undamaged and girls have occupied them since the beginning of the school year. Repairs on the ground floor were not completed until Thanksgiving.
