Adams House maintained its lead in the inter-House fencing tournament yesterday, winning five points by taking the saber competition.
Gold Coaster Ray Pierce was the top dueller as he forced Pete Ode out of the finals.
The standings are now: Adams, 9; Kirkland, 3; Eliot and Lowell, 1.
Eliot's Harry Chase and Lowell's Aubrie Loomis were the only other competitors to reach the quarter finals.
Tomorrow fencing will supervise the opee competition, the final event in the tournament. Top performers will probably again be Ode, Pierce, and Chase.
Adams House got an early lead in the tournament Monday when its ex-varsity player, Pierce, beat Larry Zeitlin of Kirkland House to break a tie and to give Adams four points.
