Yard Lacrosse Squad Journeys To Exeter Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With two straight wins under their belts, the freshman lacrosse team moves on up to Exeter, New Hampshire, this afternoon to challenge the New England scholastic champions of the last three years.

Since 1946, Exeter has lost only one lacrosse game--a bruising 8 to 3 battle with the Crimson '51 squad last May. The Red and Gray claims ten of last year's lettermen, the equivalent of a full team.

The Gang's All Here

The '52 aggregation contains nearly all the rest of last year's Exeter letter winners. Pete Brooke, Fritz Delafield Charlie Osborne, Dick Thomas, and Bill Spence were all starters at the New Hampshire prep school last year.

Ned Yost, Bob Baldwin, and Lou Schaeffer make up today's first string attack for the Crimson, with Al Sawyer, Rip Lynch, and Pete Brooke slated to begin the game at midfield.

Tom Brager, Bill Spence, and Ned Maroni will start at defense. Dunk McCallum will try to keep stray balls out of the goal.
